In a spectacular fashion comeback, the 90s era has been revived with a bang. Donatella Versace has joined forces with Dua Lipa as co-designer for Versace's exciting new pre-fall Collection, La Vacanza. Embracing a spirit of creativity, collaboration, friendship, and the glamorous Versace lifestyle, this collection draws inspiration from enchanting late summer getaways in Italy, embodying a 'more is more' philosophy with a contemporary and playful twist. Dua Lipa, a long-time friend and collaborator of Donatella, has seamlessly transitioned into a muse for Versace, frequently adorning custom, vintage-inspired Versace outfits and even gracing the runway in the House's Spring 2022 show. This collaboration represents a truly authentic and meaningful evolution for the two creative powerhouses, as it marks the first time Versace has opened its design process to such a collaborator.

Drawing inspiration from the iconic ‘90s supermodel era, the latest collection features captivating metal mesh ensembles and intricate embellishments. Paying homage to the Versace Fall-Winter 1992 collection, buckled bralettes, dresses, and men's gilets exude a sense of structure, beautifully contrasting the flowing and generous proportions of silk twill printed shirts, tailored jackets, and wide-tailored pants. A modern twist comes with twisted and knotted jersey pieces, inspired by the Atelier Versace Spring-Summer 1995 collection, skillfully reinterpreting the natural contours of the body. Adding a touch of allure, ‘Nastro Gianni’ band finishes adorn the dresses, taking cues from the Versace Spring-Summer 2003 collection, resulting in captivating moments of seductive cutaways.

The exquisite craftsmanship of Versace shines through in the use of signature pure silk twill, adorned with bespoke prints, as a prominent fabric in the collection. Complementing this luxurious material are meticulously selected tailoring fabrics, such as sharp wool, tabby weave wool, and lightweight cotton twill, all meticulously chosen to enhance the overall aesthetics and impeccable cuts. Paying tribute to the brand's iconic codes, band and belt details feature archival 'nastro Gianni' stitching, while the Medusa '95 hardware, inspired by the Versace Spring-Summer 1995 campaign starring Madonna, adds a touch of allure. Notably, the collection's accessories are accentuated with laminated metallic leather, showcasing captivating pieces like the mini Repeat hobo bag, stack loafers, and extraordinary boots.

The collection is now available to purchase at Versace Boutiques and online at Versace.com. A series of pop-ups, bespoke in-store displays, and temporary retail locations further the availability of the collection worldwide. This will include the global cities of Bangkok, Chengdu, Hong Kong, Seoul, and Shanghai, and world-famous vacation destinations, including Forte dei Marmi and Mykonos.
